“Work for six days and rest on the seventh day, even during the seasons for plowing and harvesting.”
Exodus 34:21 CEV
I really wanted to do some work yesterday. I have a lot coming up.
But thankfully I didn’t. And I’m really thankful for this reminder, that even during the busy seasons, our Good Father wants us to trust Him and rest!
In fact, He tells us that a few verses above, and in the Psalms today. I pray we one day truly, without ANY DOUBT, believe it…
“Then he passed in front of Moses and called out, “I am the Lord God. I am merciful and very patient with my people. I show great love, and I can be trusted.”
Exodus 34:6 CEV
“Mighty armies alone cannot win wars for a king; great strength by itself cannot keep a soldier safe. In war the strength of a horse cannot be trusted to take you to safety. But the Lord watches over all who honor him and trust his kindness.”
Psalms 33:16-18 CEV
How about we learn to rest, and truly do this?
“We depend on you, Lord, to help and protect us. You make our hearts glad because we trust you, the only God. Be kind and bless us! We depend on you.”
Psalms 33:20-22 CEV
